Red XIII (and Vincent Valentine)

In high school I was in love with Red XIII. I so wanted him to be my furry companion to cuddle and play with. Okay, so he was a bad ass battle cat-like creature but a girl can dream of having a pet like him. His non-testing science subject name is Nanaki. Regardless of what you call him, he's awesome.

Advice

Cheesy, girly, and unnecessary. All things in this world that usually make me smile. And smiling is important. I wish I had read and realized the truth of this list when I was younger. Specifically two, four and eight. I do have number 3 down. And it's lead to a photo rich life. I try to print off pictures fairly often. The digital age is great because of the sheer volume of pictures you can store, but what's the use of having those pictures unless you get to look at them and cherish them?

Drawings

Once upon a time my friend Tracy gave me a page from her daily calender. On this gem of a page it said, "May your day be more beautiful than a unicorn farting rainbows." This sparked a few drawings. Some of which now lie on the bottom of the Unalakleet River up near Sauyaq. (Phones and boating don't always mix.)  Two are here for your viewing pleasure.  The first was done by me on my computer and the second was done by Sasha when she was interning at NVU.

This one more clearly demonstrates the farting aspect.

In 2011 I started running the Alaska Run for Women.  I was very nervous, pretty sure I wouldn't be able to run the whole 5 miles, but super excited.  Ayyu was on my cheering squad and sent me this picture.  I had it put onto t shirts.  Because commemorating one's first run is important (at least in my head).

This random fellow I drew for my bestie.  And sent it to her.

I came across this picture on my usual haunt.

 It immediately inspired me to do the following:

Yes, I am that ridiculous.  Embrace it. I'm not entirely sure there is a man of my dreams out there for me in this fairy tale. It's like I meet a guy or wind up liking a guy and I immediately see an end to wherever our "relationship" or lack thereof is headed. (irrelevant side note: trying to teach yourself one space after always double spacing is torture.) I'm not entirely sure if this is sabotage or just being realistic. Probably some twisted sick combination. Regardless; pandas need petting, especially when waiting for the panda of their dreams.

The glories of food

All pictures (and gif) are from my good old time wasting website.  The internet is such a time suck.  I don't even want to know how many hours I've spent online, let alone on facebook.  I don't have the internet at home and I think I'm going to keep it that way.  I also don't have cable or satellite at home.  I have a tv and dvd player and I think that's sufficient.  I tend to get sucked into the internet and really bad television.  This is a preventative move on my part so I at least attempt to spend more time crafting, reading, and running.  I haven't run in over two weeks and it makes me sad.  Traveling and winter always derail me from running.  I'm not quite sure how to fix that.

I don't even like hot dogs and this makes me want to eat hot dogs.

Best avocado ever.  And lets be honest.  Avocados are amazing.

I really would like to take the time to make these.  I really would.  Maybe my 30th birthday would warrant the time it would take.

5 things that make me laugh

These are all from my one of my favorite sites.  There is a theme with these...

It's always so easy to blame the other girl.

I relate to this way way way too much.  It's pathetic really.

This just cracks me up.  I spent two months singing this song.  Then I saw this.  And laughed for two months.

If someone hates you, they're not worth caring about.  Lesson learned.
